Roy Sutter

Roy Sutter is an American open water swimmer and aircraft worker.
Channel Swimming Career
- Sutter successfully completed the Catalina Channel (CM) on 12 September 1953 in 16 hours 38 minutes
- On 4 July 1956 at the age of 51, Sutter was pulled after only two hours of swimming from Santa Cruz Island because the conditions were bad and his support crew feared they would not be able to keep track of Sutter during the evening
