SWIM Long Beach is an adult and masters swimming team headquartered in Long Beach, California with many triathletes, open water swimmers, channel swimmers, marathon swimmers, and former competitive swimmers as its members.

Swim Long Beach Relays

The Swim Long Beach Catalina Relay was a 6-person channel swimming relay that attempted a Catalina Channel crossing on 23-24 August 2014 from the California mainland to Santa Catalina Island.

Team Poseidon and Team Neptune

Swim Long Beach organized two 6-person tandem relays that crossed the 32.2 km Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 9 hours 54-55 minutes on 21-22 September 2019 with the following members: Team Poseidon with Jeff Wheeler, Brian Kelley, Steve Sanchez, Tess Parkhouse, Jose Villa, and Tina Weidenkeller, and Team Neptune with Sam Fandrich, Mike Tran, Dave O’Neil, Devon Beebe, Fred Gilbert, and Gerry Parker.

Catalina Channel Tandem Relays

On 8 September 2024, the Swim Long Beach Catalina Channel Tandem Relays completed a 12 hour 40 minute 24 second 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel including Dylan Jones, Mike Hall, Sam Simmons, Bob Hagle, Jeff LeBauve, Steven Johnson, Megan Jones, Alan Gobron, Loren Wright, Adam Luco, Tony Gale, and Bennett Moxom with coaches Hank Wise and Katie Rowe, and escort kayakers Gerry Parker, Will Diaz, and Steve Sanchez. They won the 2024 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Aquatic Capital of America.
