Samuel Neri

Jesus Neri or Jesus Samuel Neri Gutierrez (born 16 December 1964) is a Mexican attorney from Mexico City and an open water swimmer who achieved the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming on 4 September 2014. He owns two law offices and has completed two Oceans Seven channel crossings. He is the King of the Catalina Channel with his six career crossings.

Professional Career
He is an attorney, graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, founder and CEO of Neri Abogados Asociados, which has implemented international offices in Spain and France. He has been professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico for more than 22 years and Chief Secretary of the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2010-2011).
Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming
He successfully completed the Catalina Channel from Catalina Island to the California mainland in September 2011 in 14 hours 44 minutes, and again on 14 July 2014 in 12 hours 29 minutes. He also completed the 2011 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 9 hours 6 minutes, and completed the English Channel on 4 September 2014 in 16 hours 42 minutes to complete the Triple Crown.

- In August 2009, he attempted a crossing of the English Channel but was pulled after 14 hours.
- In 2010, he attempted another crossing of the English Channel but was pulled after a few hours.
- On 18 June 2011, he completed a 45.8 km Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 9 hours 6 minutes 6 seconds at the age of 46.
- On 6 September 2011, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 13 hours 44 minutes 20 seconds.
- On 14 July 2013, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 12 hours 16 minutes 30 seconds.
- On 16 October 2014, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from the Southern California mainland to Santa Catalina Island in 17 hours 32 minutes 20 seconds.
- On 16 October 2015, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 11 hours 55 minutes 26 seconds.
- On 2 October 2016, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 11 hours 50 minutes 55 seconds.
- On 16 June 2017, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 14 hours 40 minutes 43 seconds.
- On 4 September 2014, he completed a crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 16 hours 32 minutes 20 seconds.
- On 13 November 2019, he completed his 7th career 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel in 13 hours 7 minutes 41 second and is now tied with Hank Wise for the most successful solo crossings and King of the Catalina Channel.
