Scott Zornig is 57-year-old American open water swimmer from California. He is the former president of the Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association.

Open Water Swimming Career

Swim Camp Catalina

Zornig is the swim coordinator and co-founder of the Swim Camp Catalina, a 4-day swimming holiday on Santa Catalina Island in the Pacific Ocean. Swim Camp Catalina III was held on 10-14 November 2016 in Two Harbors, Santa Catalina Island ("The search for the mystical mermaid"). The camp was open to 66 campers and included a special guest appearance of Lynne Cox who presented an autographed signed copy of her book, Swimming in the Sink, to each of the swimmers.

Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association

Zornig is the president and a board director for the Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association (SBCSA) that was nominated for the 2014 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year for its far-forward thinking about the sport of marathon swimming. He is a lifetime member of the SBCSA.
