Selina Moreno Pasagali
Maria Selina Moreno Pasagali is a breast cancer survivor who has nursed herself back to health by becoming an accomplished marathon swimmer.

She was nominated for the 2011 World Open Water Swimming Woman of the Year and is a member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
Marathon Swimming Career
After fighting back from tough chemotherapy, she went on the cross the Strait of Gibraltar on 10 September 2007. 4 hours 40 minutes after departing from the Island of Tarifa, she arrived at Spain in Morocco. In October 2007, she crossed 14 kilometers across the Bocaina from Lanzarote to Fuerteventura.
In 2008, she organized a solidarity 1 km crossing to fight against cancer, "Swam With You", that was broadcast on Gent Gent x 9.
She complete the Traverse Bay International Autonomous Cullera 10 km in Cullera Bay in 2009 and then went on to cross the English Channel in August 2009 in 16 hours 4 minutes.
From there, she continued with the Traverse Bay International Autonomous Cullera 10 km in Cullera Bay again in 2010. She also won the Cullera Bay 10 km on 26 June 2011.
She also completed the 36 km Menorca Channel (Canal de Menorca) 2010 in 18 hours 20 minutes. In
She was the first Spanish women to complete the 28.5-mile Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, finishing in 8 hours 42 minutes on 18 June 2011. Later, she participated in the 100 nautical mile relay from the island of Ibiza to Cabo Nao that took 60 hours.
In June 2011, she completed the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming with a crossing of the Catalina Channel on 14 July 2012 in 11 hours 11 minutes.
In total, after recovering from breast cancer, she has participated in more than 80 national swimming competitions.

Selina Moreno Pasagali nació el 04 de julio de 1972 en Madrid, y es una autentica superviviente del cáncer de mama. Durante su recuperación de esta dura enfermedad ella a conseguido convertirse en una nadadora de maratón de prestigio internacional. Selina ha sido nominada para los premios 2011 de World Open Water Swimming Woman of the Year.
Después de luchar de contra los duros efectos de la quimioterapia, se decidió a cruzar en solitario el Estrecho de Gibraltar el 10 de septiembre de 2007. 4 horas y 40 minutos después de salir de la Isla de Tarifa, llegó a punta Sainar (Marruecos) En octubre de 2007, cruzó 15 kilometros a través de la Bocaina desde Lanzarote a Fuerteventura.
En 2008, organizó un 1Km solidario de lucha contra el cáncer ",Nadamos por ti", que fue transmitido en TV Gent Gent.
Ella completo la Travesía internacional de la Bahía de Cullera en el 10km en 2009 siendo la segunda clasificada de su categoría.
Con una gran motivación pasó a cruzar uno de los canales mas duros del mundo, el Canal Inglés en ese mismo año en un total de16 horas y 4 minutos. A partir de ahí, continuó nadando con fuerza y volvió en 2010 a la Travesia Internacional de Cullera siendo la tercera clasificada.
Selina siguió nadando con audacia y conquisto los 36 km de natación del Canal de Menorca en 2010 en un total de 18 horas y 20 minutos. En 2011 viajo a USA, para ser la primera mujer española que consigue completar los 28,5 kilómetros de la isla de Manhattan, acabando en 8 horas y 42 minutos el 18 de junio de 2011.
Más tarde, participó en el relevo de 100 millas náuticas de la isla de Ibiza a Cabo la Nao, que se alargo mas de 60 horas. Ella también ganó el 10K Cullera el 26 de junio de 2011.
En una estupenda carrera deportiva en la cual a mantenido, nadando y recuperándose por completo del cáncer de mama, participado en más de 80 competiciones Españolas de natación.
Menorca Channel
She was the sixth person in history to swim 37 km across the Canal de Menorca (Menorca Channel) that stretches between the Balearic islands of Menorca and Mallorca in the Mediterranean Sea.
