Open Water Swimming
SmackDab was planned to be used for the first time in the open water swimming world by Doug Stanley and the crew of Ridgeline Entertainment on Jamie Patrick's 71-mile (114 km) solo swim across Lake Michigan from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Chicago, Illinois. It will also be used for Ben Hooper's Swim The Big Blue, his solo 2,000-mile stage swim across the Atlantic Ocean from Africa to South Africa in 2015.
