Son of a Swim

Son of a Swim is the former name of a multi-race event hosted by the Northeast Kingdom Open Water Swimming Association (NEKOWSA). Organized by Phil White, the Son of a Swim includes 2-, 4-, 6.5- and 10-mile lake swims held in Lake Memphremagog, Vermont. It is an official qualifier for the Kingdom Swim and part of the Kingdom Games.

The event is now called Lost in the Islands of Derby Bay.

NEKOKWSA 2014 Schedule

  • June 14th - 6th Son of a Swim, 2, 4, and 6-mile swims
  • July 12th - 6th Kingdom Swim, 1, 3, 6, and 10-mile swims + ¼ mile and 100 yard swims including the WOWSA 10 Mile World Open Water Championship
  • August 2nd - 4th Seymour Swim - 3.5 and 1.75 miles as part of Kingdom Triathlon

August 9th - 17th - 8 Lakes - 43 Miles - 4 Marathons: Swim The Kingdom Week. Swimmers can participate in one event or up to all eight events.
