Spike

From Openwaterpedia
Spike

A descendant of explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton, Spike has a similar view of life in his travels and explorations of the world. He has experienced the beauty of nature in peaceful solitary settings as well as the horrors of war. These experiences have given him insights that influence both the work he does and the photographic artistry he creates today.

Spike is a multi-talented American currently living and working in the Cayman Islands on Grand Cayman. He is an award-winning photographer who has an ability to shoot compelling photos while hanging out of helicopters and airplanes and amid sharks and whales on the rough seas. He is also a lead engineer with Radio Cayman who possesses multi-discipline experiences in intelligence, consumer and industrial electronics, both radio and visual communications. He has covered numerous international fishing tournaments and open water swimming events including the Bridging The Cayman Islands and the Flowers Sea Swim.

In addition to these duties, he takes time to volunteer and manage a computer recycling non-profit he founded, which also teaches Cayman Islands youth valuable computer repair and upgrade skills.
