Steph Cox organized the Chillswim Coniston that is nominated for the 2015 World Open Water Swimming Offering of the Year by the World Open Water Swimming Association for its WOWSA Awards, a recognition of outstanding men, women, performances and offerings around the globe
Steph Cox is one of the principals of Chillswim and has organized several open water swimming events and ice swimming extravaganzas together with Colin Hill.

- Big Chill Swim in Windermere in the Lake District of England on 2 February 2013 where extreme swimmers can take part in the 30m breaststroke event, 60m freestyle event, 4 x 30m team relay and 450m endurance swim
