Toroneos Gulf (or Toroneos Bay) is the site of the International Swimming Marathon of Toroneos Gulf, a marathon swim in Greece from Kallithea Beach to Nikiti.

Ioannis Kotsiopoulos 3-way Toroneos Gulf Marathon
On 15-16 July 2005, Ioannis Kotsiopoulos completed a 78 km three-way crossing of the Toroneos Gulf Marathon between Kallithea and Nikiti in northern Greece in 35 hours 20 minutes between 7:10 am on 15 July and 6:30 pm on 16 July at the age of 52.

Stefanos Meltsis completed a four-way crossing of Toroneos Bay in 37 hours 52 minutes on 8-9 July 2011.
