USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming Championships (USA Swimming Open Water National Championships or the U.S. Open Water Swimming Championships) have been held all over the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast and are limited to the very fastest open water swimmers in the nation. The distances include 5 km and 10 km races.

- California: the 2013 and 2017 championships were held in Castaic Lake in Southern California, hosted by Canyons Aquatic Club and featuring the Fran Crippen Mile. The event is also held concurrently with the Open Water Junior Nationals (USA Swimming National Junior Open Water Swimming Championships.
- Florida: Fort Myers, Florida and concurrently with Swim Miami in Miami, Florida
- Arizona: Tempe
