Château d’If is a fortress and former prison located on the Île d'If, the smallest island in the Frioul archipelago, situated about 1.5 km offshore from Marseille in southeastern France. It is famous for being one of the settings of Alexandre Dumas's adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo.

- Jacques Tuset, the King of Prison Island Swimming completed Le Défi Edmond Dantès, a 7.7 km night swim between the Château d'If and the Île Tiboulen in the 13.2°C water, finishing in 2 hours 27 minutes 43 seconds on 26 February 2022 at the age of 58. He departed from Château d'If at 8:47 pm and arrived at Tiboulen Island at 11:15 p.m. It was his 20th escape from the Château d'If.
