- On 20 August 2017, he finished 5th in the 28.5-mile (45.8 km) 20 Bridges Circumnavigation Swim of Manhattan in New York City in 7 hours 14 minutes 8 seconds at the age of 50.
- He finished 4th in the 25 km Batalla de Rande a Nado between the Cies Islands, at the mouth of the Ria de Vigo, and the small island of San Simón island in Galicia in the northwest of Spain in 7 hours 38 minutes 22 seconds.
- He finished the 2016 21 km Maratón Acuático Tabarca-Alicante between Tabarca Island and Alicante city off the Mediterranean coast in Spain.
- He was the fastest bioprene swimmer in 7 hours 26 minutes 40 seconds at the 25 km La Batalla de Rande a Nado between the Cies Islands, at the mouth of the Ria de Vigo, and the small island of San Simón island in Galicia in the northwest of Spain on 22 June 2019.
- On 20 July 2018, he completed a 33.2 km crossing of the English Channel from England to France in 13 hours 3 minutes.
- On 16 August 2019, he completed a 32.3 km crossing of the Catalina Channel from Santa Catalina Island to the Southern California mainland in 10 hours 53 minutes 40 seconds at the age of 51 to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
- He competed in the 36 km Maratona del Golfo Capri-Napoli in Italy held on 10 September 2020.
