- He completed a 67 kmtwo-way crossing of the English Channel on 21 August 2011 in 25 hours 50 minutes to join the 24-hour club.
- He attempted three 100.5 km three-way crossing attempts of the English Channel between September 2012 and 2014.
- His latest 3-way attempt ended in the middle of the third leg after a 19 hour 45 minute 67 km two-way crossing on 8 August 2014.
- On 16 May 2010, he completed the 10 km South Head Roughwater swim in Australia in 4 hours 42 minutes at the age of 39.
- On 26 February 2011, he completed the 19.7 km Rottnest Channel Swim in Western Australia in 6 hours 37 minutes 50 seconds at the age of 40.
- On 15 May 2011, he completed the 10 km South Head Roughwater swim in Australia in 2 hours 35 minutes 57 seconds at the age of 40.

Honours
- In 2012, he was the winner of the Alison Streeter Award for the fastest two-way English Channel swim of the year.
- He is an Honouree of the Australian Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in its Class of 2020, inducted on 21 June 2020.
