On 13 August 2012, he completed a crossing of English Channel from England to France in 11 hours 34 minutes under the auspices of the Channel Swimming Association after 2 unsuccessful attempts.
He completed 4 solo Rottnest Channel Swims in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013 (4 times), 2014 (2 times), 2015 (2 times), 2016 and 2017 including a two-way crossing on 24 March 2013 in 7 hours 3 minutes 0 seconds at the age of 43.
He competed in the 2013 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim where he has an opportunity to swim his age.
He completed an unprecedented 28 km circumnavigation swim around Rottnest Island in Western Australia that took 8 hours 15 minutes on 12 March 2015 with Ceinwen Roberts and Geoff Wilson at the age of 44.
