Rachel Doyle is an Honor Swimmer in the Ireland Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame and ice swimmer.

Open Water Swimming Career

  • She is a gold medalist at the IWSA winter swimming championships.
  • On 10 August 2012, she crossed the English Channel from England to France in 16 hours 10 minutes 40 seconds at the age of 24.
  • On 41 July 2016, she crossed the 45 km North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland (after an unsuccessful attempt in 2015) on 31 July 2016 in 13 hours 14 minutes 26 seconds.
  • She swam across Lake Geneva 14 km in August 2017
  • She swam Dun Laoghaire to Bray Head return 28 km in August 2014
  • She swam Lough Erne 17 km in 2011 and 10 km in 2010
  • She swam Galway Bay 13 km in July 2013 in 3 hours and 1 minutes
  • She swam from Malta to Gozo return 11 km in August 2019
  • She swam Camlough 10 km in 2010 and 2011
  • She swam Lough Dan 10 km in 2010
  • She was nominated for the 2016 Female Senior Swimmer of the Year Award (Live Vote) by the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association.
  • She set a world age group record in the Ice Kilometer at the 2015 International Ice Swimming Association 1 km Championship in Poland in 16 minutes 40 seconds.
  • She won gold in the 450-metre endurance swim at the World Winter Championships in Jurmala, Riga, Latvia, on 21 January 2012.
  • She finished 40th in the Ice Kilometer at the 2016 Ice Swimming Aqua Sphere World Championships in Burghausen, Bavaria, Germany.
  • She participated in the Ice kilometer at the Amstel Ice Swim in the Netherlands on 29-30 December 2019.
