Kate Mason

Kate Mason is an Australian open water swimmer and member of the Half Century Club. She is a specialist exercise instructor in cardiac rehab and a swimming coach.
Open Water Swimming Highlights
- On 26-29 April 2023, she will compete in the SCAR Swim Challenge, a 4-day stage swim in Arizona.
- at the age of 51.09 years, Mason completed the Rottnest Channel Swim in 8 hours 4 minutes in 2010
- she completed a 2-person 70 km relay across Lake Geneva under the auspices of the Lake Geneva Swimming Association. Together with Julia Aston, the pair crossed Lake Geneva in 28 hours 12 minutes 56 seconds under the escort of pilots Gerad and Marie Claire and observer Tim Davies on 11-12 August 2015. They set off from the Chateau de Chillon at 9.50 am and reached Geneva at Le Bain des Pacques 28 hours and 12 minutes later in water temperature of 23°C.
- She won the 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2005 Brownsea Island Swim, a wild swimming island circumnavigation event in Dorset, England.
