Scott Harvey
29-year-old Scott Harvey M.D. is a former USA Water Polo national team member after a successful career at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He is currently an open water swimmer and physician who specializes in Obstetrics & Gynecology in Honolulu, Hawaii and a graduate of University of Hawaii's John A Burns School of Medicine. In February 2012, he swam with 38-year-old Steve Minaglia M.D. of the Waikiki Swim Club and 51-year-old Craig Coombs of the South End Rowing Club in San Francisco to cross the 9.3-mile (15K) Pailolo Channel from the island of Maui to the island of Molokai on 4 February 2012. They departed at DT Fleming Beach on Maui at 6:42 am and finished on Molokai just over 6 hours later.
Dr. Harvey also crossed the 9.3-mile Kalohi Channel in 5 hours 48 minutes with Steve Minaglia M.D. (5 hours 48 minutes) and Craig Coombs (6 hours 6 minutes) between the Hawaiian islands of Molokai and Lanai on 12 May 2012. Paul Luuwai was their captain and Blair Norris was their paddle boarder support and videographer.
Scott Harvey is an American open water swimmer who participated in the winning 1973 Maui Channel Swim between Lanai and Maui in Hawaii together with Marc Finley, Dave Baker, Bill Goding, Harry Huffaker and Don Willard in 3 hours 50 minutes.
